Spec Mix Bricklayer 500 Contest

February 17, 2010 :: events

Thumbnail image for WOC.JPGBlaklader was proud to be a sponsor of the recent Spec Mix Bricklayer 500 contest during the World of Concrete show in Las Vegas, February 2-6.

Each of the 20 brick layers and 20 tenders were proudly wearing the Blaklader Heavy Worker khaki work pants.  This is the 3rd year that Blaklader has provided pants for the contestants, who wear the pants not only at this event, but all year long while on the job.

The polyester/cotton fabric blend and Cordura reinforced cuffs, backside, and knee pad holders, provide the durability that bricklayers and concrete workers need on the job.  The abrasive resistant fabric holds up well under the toughest conditions, yet provides the comfort needed to perform the most active of jobs.

Garrett Hood, this year’s winner from McGee Masonry in Monroe, NC states, “ I have worn my Blaklader pants all year long on the job and they have lasted me all year, while any other pants have barely lasted a month.  Not only are they durable, they are so comfortable I’d wear them to sleep in if they weren’t so dirty at the end of the day.”

If you are in need of a highly abrasive resistant, durable, functional work pant, go to our retail locater ( http://blakladerusa.com/where/ ) and find your local retailer, or order today from one of our authorized web dealers!

If you fancy clothing with plenty of pockets and pouches to put your tools and gadgets in, Blaklader has your back, or rather your arse covered. This kilt is initially designed for the working Scotsman with pouches for hammers, nails, screws, things of that nature, so essentially it's a wearable utility belt.
